Background: Stunting is a problem that occurs in low and middle-income countries including Indonesia, especially in rural areas. Stunting has a detrimental functional effect on child growth and development. Some indirect causes of stunting include environmental sanitation and clean and healthy living behavior. This study aims to determine the relationship between environmental sanitation and clean and healthy living behavior with stunting in toddlers aged 0-59 months..

Methods: This was a quantitative study with a cross-sectional research design. The population of this study involved toddlers aged 0 to 59 months with sample of 50 toddlers, the sampling technique used being a purposive sampling according to the inclusion criteria. The research instruments for environmental sanitation and clean and healthy living behavior were measured through a questionnaire. The stunting variable was measured directly using a infantometer and stadiometer. Data analysis used univariate and bivariate analysis using the Chi-Square test.

Results: There is no significant relationship between environmental sanitation with stunting (p=1.000). There is a significant relationship between clean and healthy living behavior with stunting (p=0.005).

Conclusion: Clean and healthy living behavior plays an important role in the incidence of stunting in toddlers aged 0–59 months, while environmental sanitation does not show a significant relationship. Education is needed regarding increasing clean and healthy living behavior in an effort to reduce the prevalence of stunting.
Jahia JayantiRostika Flora

Background: Anemia refers to a condition where the number of red blood cells or the concentration of hemoglobin is below normal. According to the profile of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia, anemia is the most commonly encountered health problem worldwide, particularly in developing countries. Female adolescents are at a higher risk of developing anemia. The anemia status among adolescents is also associated with their level of knowledge. One method to improve female adolescents; knowledge about anemia is through health education in the form of counseling using booklets, aimed at determining the effect of health education with booklets on the knowledge of female adolescents about anemia at SMA Negeri 1 Banyuke Hulu.

Research Method: This study used a quasi-experimental method with a pretest- posttest design with a control group applied to two groups. The total sample consisted of 60 respondents selected using the simple random sampling method. Data were collected using a questionnaire, and the data were analyzed using the paired t-test.

Results: The statistical test showed a difference in the average knowledge scores of students between the pretest and posttest. The mean posttest score in the group receiving health education using booklet media was 87.33, while the mean posttest score in the group receiving lecture-based education was 69.66. The group of students who received counselling through booklet media showed a significant difference between the pretest and posttest scores, indicating a significant effect of booklet-based health education on female adolescents’ knowledge about anemia.
Background: Non-ST Elevation Myocardial Infarction (NSTEMI) involves partial or subtotal obstruction of the coronary arteries, leading to chest pain. This pain is typically managed with pharmacological therapy, followed by further observation in the Intensive Cardiology Care Unit (ICCU). During their care, nurses assist patients with all activities, which can hinder adaptation to the new environment and increase anxiety, negatively impacting sleep quality. Sleep quality is often neglected, despite being crucial for the healing process. This study aims to analyze the implementation of non-pharmacological interventions, specifically nature sound instrumental therapy and foot massage therapy, to improve sleep quality in NSTEMI patients at RSUD Aji Muhammad Parikesit Tenggarong. Methods: This study employs a case study design involving two NSTEMI patients in the ICCU experiencing sleep disturbances. The respondents received an innovative intervention combining nature sound instrumental therapy and foot massage therapy for 7 hours over three nights. Sleep quality was measured using the Sleep Quality Questionnaire (KKT) before and after the intervention, with scores ranging from 0 to 28, where higher scores indicate better sleep quality. Results: After three nights of intervention, Case I showed an improvement in sleep quality from a score of 10 (poor) to 20 (good), while Case II increased from a score of 12 (poor) to 24 (good). There was a significant enhancement in sleep quality following the combination of nature sound instrumental therapy and foot massage therapy. Conclusion: The innovative intervention combining nature sound instrumental therapy with foot massage therapy is effective in improving sleep quality in NSTEMI patients in the ICCU.
