Senam Hipertensi untuk Meningkatkan Kualitas Hidup Lansia dengan Menurunkan Tekanan Darah di RT 05, Kelurahan 16 Ulu, Palembang
Abstract
Hypertension is a chronic health problem with a high prevalence in the elderly and contributes to increased morbidity and reduced quality of life. Non-pharmacological interventions such as hypertension exercises are needed as promotive and preventive efforts. This community service activity aims to lower blood pressure in the elderly through education and training in hypertension exercises. The implementation method includes blood pressure screening, hypertension education, and routine hypertension exercises for two weeks. A total of 20 elderly people actively participated in this activity. Evaluation results showed a decrease in average blood pressure from 159/97 mmHg to 137/89 mmHg after the intervention. These findings indicate that hypertension exercises are an effective alternative intervention and can be implemented sustainably as part of a community-based hypertension management strategy.
