Journal of Maternal and Child Health Sciences (JMCHS), with registered number 2829-3673 (online) is a scientific journal published by the Midwifery Department of Poltekkes Kemenkes Palembang. The aim of this journal publication is to disseminate the conceptual thoughts or ideas and research results that have been achieved in the midwifery area. Every article that goes to the editorial staff will be selected through Initial Review processes by Editorial Board. Then, the articles will be sent to the Mitra Bestari/ peer reviewer and will go to the next selection by the Double-Blind Peer-review Process. After that, the articles will be returned to the authors to revise. These processes take a month for a maximum time. In each manuscript, Mitra Bestari/ peer reviewer will be rated from the substantial and technical aspects. The final decision of articles acceptance will be made by Editors according to Reviewer comments. Mitra Bestari/ peer reviewer that collaboration with the Journal of Maternal and Child Health Sciences (JMCHS) is the expert in the midwifery area and issues around it.
Journal of Maternal and Child Health Sciences (JMCHS) particularly focuses on the main problems in the development of the sciences of midwifery areas. It covers Midwifery Care, Reproductive Health, Family Planning, Health of Adolescence, Maternal and Child Health Education, Complementary in Midwifery.
In order to further improve the quality of our journal, the Journal of Maternal and Child Health Sciences (JMCHS) has decided to use the Indonesian language to accept starting from volume 1 issue June 1, 2021.

Authors who want to submit their manuscript to the editorial office of the Journal of Maternal and Child Health Sciences (JMCHS) should obey the writing guidelines. If the manuscript submitted is not appropriate with the guidelines or written in a different format, it will BE REJECTED by the editors before further review. The editors will only accept the manuscripts which meet the assigned format.
