PENGGUNAAN CLEAR ALIGNER UNTUK KASUS ORTODONTI PADA PASIEN ANAK
Abstract
Clear Aligner Therapy (CAT) merupakan sebuah metode untuk menggerakkan gigi menggunakan serangkaian piranti aligner yang dirancang khusus untuk setiap pasien. Clear aligner dapat digunakan pada berbagai kasus ortodonti-ortognati ringan serta kasus relapse pasca perawatan ortodonti cekat. Penggunaan clear aligner lebih disukai karena tampilannya yang lebih estetis, nyaman, serta dapat dilepas saat makan dan menyikat gigi. Clear aligner dapat dijadikan pilihan yang tepat untuk mengatasi maloklusi ringan hingga sedang pada anak-anak serta dapat digunakan untuk intervensi awal selama fase gigi bercampur. Beberapa laporan kasus menyatakan efektivitas penggunaan clear aligner pada pasien dengan gigi desidui dan gigi bercampur.
