Penggunaan Anestesi Umum dalam Bidang Kedokteran Gigi Anak: Literature Review
Abstract
Pengendalian rasa sakit dalam manajemen perilaku anak menjadi suatu hal yang menantang bagi praktisi kedokteran gigi anak. Menciptakan perawatan gigi tanpa rasa sakit dan menjadikan perawatan gigi menyenangkan menjadi tujuan dari dokter gigi anak saat ini. Anak dengan tingkat kekooperatifan yang rendah cenderung sulit untuk dilakukan perawatan gigi dan mulutnya. Sehingga penggunaan anestesi umum menjadi salah satu alternatif dalam menciptakan perawatan gigi yang nyaman, aman, efektif dan efisien bagi anak dan dokter gigi anak. Namun, pemberian anestesi umum untuk perawatan gigi dan mulut memiliki risiko dan implikasinya sendiri. Oleh karena itu, evaluasi pra-anestesi, intraoperatif dan pasca- anestesi sangat penting untuk diperhatikan untuk memberikan anestesi yang aman.
