PEMBERDAYAAN KELAS IBU HAMIL DENGAN PENDAMPING PERSALINAN TERHADAP PERSALINAN NORMAL

Latar Belakang: Kehamilan adalah suatu proses natural yang akan dirasakan oleh wanita, namun supaya ibu dan janin tetap sehat selalu, maka dari itu diperlukan asuhan yang tepat. Begitu pula proses persalinan. Proses persalinan merupakan suatu peristiwa yang sangat penting dan akan selalu ditunggu oleh pasangan suami dan istri. Setiap pasangan suami dan istri selalu mengharapkan proses persalinan berlangsung dengan normal. Salah satu upaya untuk mencapai persalinan secara normal adalah dengan melakukan berbagai pendekatan yang salah satuunya adalah mengikuti kelas ibu hamil dengan melibatkan suami, yang berperan sebagai pendamping persalinan. Dengan hadirnya suami pada kelas edukasi kehamilan, maka suami akan mendapatkan informasi yang serupa dengan istrinya mengenai kehamilan dan persalinan, sehinggadengan hal ini suami mengetahui apa yang harus ia lakukan dan dapat memberikan afirmasi positif kepada istri saat proses melahirkan.
Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif yang menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan model posttest only control. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh ibu hamil yang tercatat pada Puskesmas Pembina Kota Palembang. Sampel pada penelitian ini di dapat secara random dengan menggunakan rumus besar sampel analitik komparatif kategorik tidak berpasangan, dengan analisis data Chi-Square.
Hasil: Responden yang mengikuti kelas edukasi kehamilan bersama pendamping persalinan sebagian besar bersalin normal yaitu 17 orang atau 94,4 % sedangkan responden yang mengikuti kelas ibu hamil tanpa pendamping persalinan sebanyak 10 orang atau 55,6 % bersalin normal.
Kesimpulan: Terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara proses persalinan ibu yang mengikuti kelas edukasi kehamilan bersama pendamping persalinan dan yang tidak, dengan p- value 0,007
