Pengaruh Rebusan Lidah Buaya Dengan Obat Kumur Listerine Dalam Menyembuhkan Gingivitis Marginalis Kronis Di Smpn 6 Palembang Tahun 2012
Abstract
Gingivitis marginalis kronis merupakan suatu peradangan gusi pada daerah tepi gusi yang banyak dijumpai, umumnya disebabkan oleh penimbunan bakteri plak. Proses pengobatan gingivitis dapat dibantu dengan pengobatan secara kimiawi maupun alami. Pengobatan
kimiawi biasanya menggunakan obat kumur listerine, sedangkan salah satu cara alami dengan berkumur air rebusan lidah buaya yang diharapakan dapat meredakan gingivitis.Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh air rebusan lidah buaya dengan obat kumur listerine dalam meredakan gingivtis marginalis kronis. Penelitian dilakukan di SMPN 6 Palembang dengan jumlah populasi 302 anak, sedangkan sampel 32 anak yang dibagi menjadi dua kelompok, yaitu 16 anak berkumur dengan air rebusan lidah buaya dan 16 anak berkumur dengan obat kumur listerine dengan waktu penelitian selama 3 hari. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen. Analisa data dengan mengunakan analisa bivariat menggunakan rumus paired sample test dan independent sample test pada tingkat kepercayaan 95%. Dari hasil penelitian diketahui berkumur air rebusan lidah buaya dapat menurunkan skor gingivitis pada 10 anak (62,5%) dan obat kumur listerine menurunkan skor gingivitis pada 14 anak (87,5%). Dengan uji statistik didapatkan P.value (0,067) > D (0,05), dari perhitungan ini bisa diambil kesimpulan statistik yaitu tidak ada pengaruh antara berkumur menggunakan air rebusan lidah buaya dengan obat kumur listerine dalam meredakan gingivitis marginalis kronis.
