HUBUNGAN KADAR INSULIN GROWTH FACTOR 1 SERUM DENGAN TINGKAT KECERDASAN ANAK SEKOLAH DASAR DI KABUPATEN MUSI RAWAS
Abstract
Latar belakang: Intelligence Quotient (IQ) merupakan skor yang diperoleh melalui tes intelegensi, yang merupakan salah satu tanda perkembangan otak atau kecerdasan intelektual dimana dalam dunia pendidikan bermanfaat untuk mengetahui prestasi belajar individu yang dapat di capai. Kecerdasan intelektual pada anak-anak dipengaruhi faktor gizi, zat gizi yang kurang mengakibatkan sel-sel neuron yang terbentuk lebih sedikit yang mengakibatkan kemampuan berfikir intelektual anak juga akan menurun yang dapat dilihat dari skor IQ yang lebih rendah di banding anak seusianya dengan gizi seimbang. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan Kadar Insulin Growth Factor (IGF-1) dengan tingkat kecerdasan pada anak Sekolah Dasar di Kabupaten Musi Rawas. Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian observasional analitik dengan menggunakan rancangan cross sectional dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 77 anak diambil secara random dari anak sekolah dasar di Kabupaten Musi Rawas. Data karekteristik anak dan orang tua diperoleh melalui kuesioner, sedangkan data Kadar IGF-1 serum diperoleh dengan metode ELISA. Tingkat kecerdasan diukur dengan metode CFIT dan data kadar IGF-1 dihubungkan dengan tingkat kecerdasan dianalisis menggunakan uji regresi linier. Hasil: Hasil Analisis regresi linier sederhana antara kadar IGF-1 serum dengan tingkat kecerdasan (IQ) anak diperoleh nilai p=0,000 dan B=0,270 yang artinya setiap kenaikan kadar IGF-1 sebesar 1% akan menambah 0,270 tingkat kecerdasan lebih besar. Dengan nilai p kurang dari 0,05, maka terdapat hubungan antara kadar IGF-1 serum dengan tingkat kecerdasan secara signifikan.
