Keterkaitan Kesehatan Lingkungan dan Pengaruh Sosial Budaya pada Masyarakat Pesisir di Lingkungan 29 Pekan Labuhan
Abstract
Latar Belakang:Masyarakat pesisir adalah kelompok masyarakat yang hidup bersama di wilayah pesisir dan membentuk budaya tersendiri yang terkait dengan ketergantungan mereka terhadap pengembangan sumber daya pesisir. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keterkaitan kesehatan lingkungan masyarakat pesisir dan pengaruh sosial budaya.
Metode:Jenis metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah jenis metode penelitian kuantitatif deskriptif yaitu dengan teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan kuisioner terhadap masyarakat pesisir di Lingkungan 29, Pekan Labuhan, Kecamatan Medan Labuhan, Kota Medan Sumatera Utara.
Hasil: Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ketersediaan jamban keluarga, selokan/sungai dan tempat pembuangan sampah untuk sanitasi lingkungan belum mencapai 100%, namun sebagian warga sudah mampu menjaga lingkungan sebagaimana mestinya di lapangan, bukti bahwa 70% warga membuang sampah ke TPS, dan 83,3% hunian memiliki ventilasi yang memadai, pada sosial budaya masyarakat dalam penelitian ini sudah cukup baik dalam memilih pengobatan dimana 66,7% masyarakat akan ke puskesmas atau klinik terdekat saat sakit, 26,7% memilih obat di warung, dan 40% memilih obat dokter saat sakit, 33,3% memilih obat bidan.
Kesimpulan: Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah adanya keterkaitan kesehatan lingkungan masyarakat pesisir dan pengaruh sosial budaya, dimana pada masalah kesehatan lingkungan sebagian warga sudah mampu menjaga lingkungan sebagaimana mestinya di lapangan, Hanya saja perlu peningkatan kesadaran masyarakat untuk tidak membudayakan kebiasaan membuang langsung limbah ke selokan atau laut, karena dapat mempengaruhi hasil tangkapan mereka yang sudah terkontaminasi limbah tersebut, dan untuk masalah sosial budaya masyarakat dalam penelitian ini sudah cukup baik, dan Hal ini menunjukan bahwa sebagian masyarakat percaya bahwa pengobatan modern adalah cara pengobatan terbaik untuk bisa menyembuhkan sakit.
